Why Ledger Flow

All your money, in one app

Ledger Flow is a free expense tracker and budget app for everyday personal finance. You log what you spend, it keeps every account balance right, it splits the bills you share with other people, and it shows you where your money goes — by category, by month, and against the budgets you set.

Three-second capture

Tap, type the amount, done. It suggests what you wrote before, and the category can wait in your review inbox: the expense already counts.

Budgets that talk back

Weekly, monthly, yearly or your own dates, for everything or per category, with pace and days left in plain language — not just a bar.

Shared expenses

Trips, rent, dinners out: split each bill your way and always know who owes you and how much, across every group.

Stats and trends

Where the money went by category, day, tag or account, and up to a year of income against spending with your savings rate.

Every account you have

Cash, bank accounts, credit and debit cards, savings, investments and loans. Every movement keeps the balance right.

Works without signal

Log on the bus or abroad, and install it on your phone or computer. Everything syncs when you are back online, with nothing duplicated.

Shared expenses

Split bills with friends, family and roommates

A trip, the rent, a night out: put the bill in a shared group, say how it splits, and Ledger Flow keeps the tally for everyone — what each person owes, what they have paid and what is left.

  • Split equally, by percent, by exact amounts, or a fixed part and the rest.
  • See what each person owes you across every group, and what you owe them.
  • Get paid in parts or in cash: money paid back is not counted as income.
  • Add anyone by name: nobody needs an account. If they use Ledger Flow too, invite them with their email and they can see the group.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Ledger Flow free?

Yes. Creating an account costs nothing and asks for no card.

Does it connect to my bank?

No. You record your own movements, so Ledger Flow never asks for your bank details or passwords.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. What you record offline is saved on your device and syncs when the connection comes back. Installing the app keeps that copy safe from the browser’s clean-ups.

Do the people I split with need an account?

No. Add anyone to a shared group by name. If they also use Ledger Flow, invite them with the email of their account: the group appears in their Shared, and once you mark their part paid they can add it to their own ledger. Nothing is emailed, so let them know.

Can I use it on my phone and my computer?

Yes. It runs in the browser of any phone, tablet or computer, installs like an app on Android, iPhone and desktop, and keeps your data in sync across all of them.

Who can see my data?

Only you, and the people you invite to see a shared group. We don’t sell data or use it for advertising, and you can delete your account from Settings.
